So as some of you may know this week I went in for surgery to repair a deviated septum and have a tonsillectomy. Both of their surgeries are fairly common and out patient. I had a minor complication Post-Op and had to be submitted to ICU for a day due to a spike in blood pressure like 220/140. Basically with the septum the repair is what I expected it to be its been like 4 days and it doesn’t hurt anymore but the tonsillectomy I knew going into the surgery that recovery would be hard. But last night was the worst point in my recovery so far. I am taking a liquid lortab every 4 hours but last night I wasn’t sure if I could make the full 4 hours. Just to put it in perspective my nasal and throat but been on fire pretty much since the surgery. I was also told that the pain gets worst after a few days passed. But was not expecting what came last night. No only was my nasal and throat is some of the worst pain of my life but my ears were ringing that throbbing. Breaking out into cold sweat, any fever I had from the past few days was totally broken. Even while I wrong this my ears throb each time I cough. A spike of pain hits me like 2 needles stabbing into my ears, on top of all the other pain. I fully expect to be the first day of the real pain that is the adult tonsillectomy. Hopefully I can get though it without needing to call and get more pain meds from my doctor.
